Summer Trend: Asymmetrical Outfits Done Right

Okay ladies, its time to trade in that drastic hi-lo with a more subtle approach to the asymmetrical trend this year. For 2014, its all about simplicity. Find pieces with a sleek, modern look or simple and refined lines. Then, simply pair them alongside your favorite accessories and you will have yourself a perfect Summer outfit.

Here are a few fresh style ideas to wear your asymmetrical fashion right this year. Without, over doing it.

Pair that skirt with a basic tank and your favorite cuffs. Easy right? This is why they call it effortless style.

Add a classic wide brim hat to add loads of style without going overboard. BTW isn't this dress just the coolest?

Have a draped item like this one? Extremely versatile, use it as a beach cover up, throw a vest and some ankle boots on for a weekend look or wear it as is. I seriously have so many ideas on what I could do with this dress.

Add a belt & strapy heels or sandals to dress up your maxi dresses. This is kind of a universal rule for maxi dresses, so your maxi doesn't have to have any asymmetrical elements to make this look work. However, combine the two & you have yourself a fool-proof, trendy Summer night outfit.

If you have printed asymmetrical item like this charming romantic skirt, simply coordinate the other pieces in your look from the colors of the print. Add a few simple pieces of jewelry like our earthbound necklaces  and voila!  Instant trendy Summer outfit.

Which look is your favorite? I'm tank top girl all the way.

Have a wonderful week everyone.

4 Summer Sandals You Need In Your Life

Since my accessory addiction is no big secret around here, I have gathered up a few Summer sandal styles & trends I think you all may need in your closets this Summer.

DV by Dolce Vita $69

DV by Dolce Vita $69

First, let me introduce you to the FUJI Sandal in Red from DV by Dolce Vita Sandals. With gladiator-esqe back, lace up detail and punch of color around the toe, these amazing sandals have Summer festival sandal written all over them. Did I mention they even have gold rivet detail on the sides? They pretty much are score a 10 out of 10 for Summer sandal styles of 2014 in my book.

Klub Nico $138

Klub Nico $138

Each year there is always a 'classic beauty' of the bunch, and these Jasper Asymmetrical-Strap Sandals from Klub Nico are winning hands down. Beautiful leather, punchy colors and animal prints. Not to mention they come in an easy to slip on an off style. Where do I sign up? They might just be the perfect resort sandal.

J.Crew $98

J.Crew $98

Understated and playful, these Vintage Surplus, Marina Mini-Wedges are just too cute for words. With the most adorable 1 inch espadrille rope heel, this style has 'warm weather footwear' written all over it! Lots of pretty colors available to choose from and pretty little ankle strap.

Joe's Mack Sandal $78.95

Joe's Mack Sandal $78.95

Modern, classic and an uber trendy use of Pantone's Dazzling Blue color for 2014. I found this Joe's 'Mack' Sandal at Nordstrom's and fell in deep, deep love with it. The nude ankle strap won't cut off your legs visually, making those legs look long and awesome. Although the 'Mack' Sandal comes in three colors. The Royal Blue version makes me want to stroll around European streets, find an Italian island and stay there until the sun goes down. Quick, someone tell my husband how amazing these would look in my closet.
