As I continue to work on the product line and finish up my last few weeks of school, I have made it a point to prioritize this blog once again. I have put a lot of thought into what I would like to feature here and many things come to mind, style, fashion, cool finds, and inspiring videos. (That is what many of us cruise the internet for anyway right?) But when I think about the message I want to get across it just didn't match up. Every aspect of this company is a direct reflection of me. So when it comes to the style blog I feel the need to publish original content while at the same time truly motivate and encourage others. For weeks I wrote shallow fashion posts and trashed them because they lacked depth or integrity. It was frustration at its finest.
Then I realized something, it is all about BALANCE. If we have too much of the frivolous, it becomes
meaningless. If our lives are jammed up with only serious or meaningful content, it can become too much, and it is easy to lose all of the fun. So in the future you will see what I hope to be a grand mixture of both.
Either way, whatever posts you may see on the Sundown blog, it is all in hopes to keep the content real, meaningful, encouraging, and useful to you. I have a personal philosophy that in order to feel motivated you need to motivate others, and in order to be encouraged, you need give encouragement. So I will attempt to keep this style blog filled with goodies for your style needs AND for your youthful fun loving spirits.
I should probably also warn you, I am not a writer. That is just not the hand I was dealt, and I am perfectly fine with all of the other gifts I was given. Maybe one day when this humble little company takes off I can get someone on this blog that actually knows what they are doing. Until then, I am sure my sister will continue to text me when I publish a post with bad grammar. (She is kind of like free editing software) and I hope this will continue to be a sunny laid back place for you to get a style fix.
And in order to balance out this thoughtful post today... here is an awesome shop find I stumbled across today on ETSY. Makunaima, unique tribal handmade jewelry and such. Too cute.
