We are slowly getting settled down here in our new place and finally started laying the floors this past week with awesome laminate flooring through the whole house. So something we have never really needed to do was buy rugs to cover some of the bare floors.
I had no idea where to start but knew I needed to add some texture & bold prints since everything else is still fairly plain and empty right now. I soon discovered covering large amounts of floor can get pricey really quick (ahem Pottery Barn) and since I am not willing to spend $1,000 on something I am walking on ... my search continued. Mixing a few different textures is the best way to create an complete look, also depending on the room your rug really sets the tone of the space. Does it need to be durable or comfortable?
These are some of the rug beauties I am considering for the larger
rooms ... That 8x8 square one is stinkin' awesome and would add a ton of
texture to our bedroom! Definitely adding that one to the list.
I am kicking myself for not ordering the Recycled Denim Jute Rug last month. I have been eying if for a weeks, but didn't feel like waiting until May since it was on back order. Once I finally decided to go for it, it had been restocked but way pricey! Bummer. Oh well, its still pretty to look at.
This still leaves me with the office and the extra bedroom rugs to find. I planed on investing a little more in the main rooms and finding cheaper options for the others. This is the point when my luck changed. I found a ton of cute bold rugs at Urban Outfitters in their Furnish & Decorate Sale section! Barging shopping is the best, some of these are amazing prices too!
Ohhhh the options. I can't decide! I truly am a sucker for modern statement rugs with graphic prints. That Tent Stripe rug comes in red too!
